Anti-Wrinkle /Wrinkle Relaxing Injections
Botulinum toxin (Botox) is a purified protein that is injected into the face by a certified & experienced Aesthetic Doctor to relax the facial muscles to even out lines and wrinkles, such as crow's feet and frown lines.
All the treatments are done under the supervision of a certified medical professional and your treatment is being administered by an aesthetic doctor so that you should have no particular problems with using Botox.
The type, duration and number of treatments will depend on your requirements and after understanding the areas of treatments. Upon your first visit, the counsellors & consultant will discuss with you in details and will put together a customized plan that will address your needs and get you the results you want. Generally, the length of time is decided based on the number of areas being treated.
The side effects are generally minimal or absolutely no. To the most, some of the patients experience some mild swelling, redness and bruising after the injections that eventually subsides after a few days or so.
Cases like this are mainly caused if administered by untrained professionals using poor technique and low quality applications. In these cases the effects of Botox produce an unfavourable, unnatural look. It is therefore always advisable to check through and enquire about the professional experience details of the doctor.

You should also not experience any numbness or lack of skin sensitivity more than a few days after the initial treatment.
Pregnant women or breast feeding mothers are strictly advised not to undergo any such treatments. Also, patients having any skin related problems and challenges must consult with the doctor before undergoing any injectable treatments.

People with a previous allergic reaction to botulinum toxin, or with allergies to egg or human albumin

People taking aminoglycoside antibiotics (such as chlarithromycin, gentamicin etc.) should also avoid

Anyone with a skin infection in the area to be treated

Caution should be exercised in any patients taking blood-thinning medication such as Warfarin, Rivaroxaban and Clopidogrel, simply due to the possibility of severe bruising
It is always better to start the treatments as early as possible. However, whilst there is no particular age limit, those with deeper wrinkles may benefit more from dermal fillers as opposed to this. A full consultation with Dr. Sthita Pragyan will help ascertain what the most suitable course of treatment is to meet your needs and when to start the treatments.
Effects of the treatments depend on multiple factors including diets, sleep, exercises, ifestle & exposure to light & heat. The noticeable effects may take up to 2 weeks post treatment to fully show, though this can be sooner. Re-treatment is usually at least every 3 months, this varies from person to person typically ranging from 2 to 5 months on average.
Dermal Fillers
Dermal fillers are made from a product called hyaluronic acid, which naturally occurs in the body. Its key role is to absorb water and transports nutrients to the skin ensuring that the facial shape, structure and volume is maintained. Generally as we age the production of hyaluronic acid in the body decreases as such the skin loses volume and elasticity. Dermal fillers help to re-juvenate the skin by injecting hyaluronic acid back into various areas of the face.
The effects of dermal are noticeable immediately right after the procedure & has faster results. These effects are long lasting, non-permanent and reversible. It is recommended for most clients return for a follow up treatment approximately every 6-12 months.
Most reactions are generally minimal and temporary and on case to case basis. Some of the patients expect mild swelling and may have some slight bruising. However, these reactions are expected to subside within a couple of days.
The treatment period is divided between the preparation time, treatment time and after the treatment time. It approximately takes between 30 - 45 minutes per treatment.
All the treatments are for a temporary period. These are non-permanent cosmetic treatment and its effects only last for a certain amount of time. Kindly note a re-treatment is required after a period of time. The duration of the results depends on the continued practicing of the lifestyle with a healthy diet and exercise to maintain results.

A local anaesthesia is applied to minimise any discomfort. Similar to the Botox treatments, you will feel a very small prick as the needle enters, but it is not an uncomfortable sensation. As a matter of fact many of our clients have mentioned that they don’t even feel the injections and do not experience uncomfortable bruising or after effects.
All the treatments are performed with the latest technologies in machines & with expert hands. Resulting which most of the time there are minimal or no after-effects. A little short term swelling or bruising is possible and the pin pricks where the injections are placed may show for a few hours.

We don’t administer permanent lip fillers at Update Aesthetics.

The HA lip filler gel will last at least 6 months and sometimes even up to 12 months, this depends on multiple factors including the lifestyle, diet, water intake & habits.
Initially, there is some swelling and the lips may feel bigger than usual which can feel strange. However, please bear in mind that the swelling will soon go down to reveal the final result. This usually takes 1-2 weeks but can take longer.
